Emotion Release Technique (ERT) is a tool that allows me to identify and integrate underlying emotional blocks in your nervous system. These underlying emotions can contribute to disharmony in the body leading to symptoms or undesirable patterns or behaviours.


​The method is based on the findings that neuropeptides are released during times of stress, and can attach to receptors on the neurons and cells of tissues throughout the body. This mind and body connection explains why stored emotions may contribute to pain, illness and disease, and how clearing those emotional energies provides potential benefits.

ERT combines touch, muscle response and subconscious memory recall to help my clients, of all ages, tap into and release these emotions.

Many times you may find yourself sabotaging your efforts to become healthy. You will make excuses for 'cheat days', lack of will power, blame circumstances that are 'out of your control' for why you didn't eat well, didn't take your supplements or why you just can't do whatever it is you 'should' be doing. Often it is not the external factors or lack of self control, it is the emotional blocks in your subconscious that affect your conscious efforts. Remove these blocks and align your subconscious emotions with your conscious goals. This removes any problems with 'will power' and allows you to implement the actions you want to be doing with ease and flow.


What does the ERT process do?

ERT is a tool that allows me to assess your nervous system to see if there is any stuck emotions. Not only is it an assessment tool, it also enables me to clear and integrate any stuck emotions right then and there, which means the emotional stressor is removed, allowing healing to progress uninhibited.


How do you do the ERT process?

There are three modalities that make up the ERT process; muscle testing, Chinese Medicine meridian points and EFT tapping points and sentences. Muscle testing is the interpreter for your Autonomic Nervous System. The ANS runs your entire body and knows everything that is going on, down to the cellular level. Muscle testing allows me to communicate with your ANS to investigate if there is any stuck emotions causing a stress response. Then to find exactly which emotion is stuck, I use the 16 meridian points on your wrist pulse points. Meridian points are energy lines that run through our body. After finding the exact emotion that is stuck, I tap on specific emotion points from EFT to clear the emotion from your nervous system.


I don't want to talk about my emotions, is ERT suitable for me?

Absolutely! The amazing thing about ERT is that the whole process works without the need to talk about the emotion that comes up at all. This doesn't need to feel like a counseling session. This makes it an ideal therapy for my clients who want to be more discreet or have experienced PTSD, or traumatic pasts that they do not want to discuss, even children or babies who are non-verbal. I have worked with many children and the results are amazing!
